A warm welcome from the team...

On May 1st 2018, the management of Brixham theatre changed hands with the formation of a new Charitable Organisation, involving a new group of enthusiastic volunteers (see picture above) together with an impressive portfolio of combined  personal skills and experience. The Brixham Theatre Charitable Incorporated Organisation (BTCIO) is now responsible for the  development of the theatre as a venue of choice for the future. As you can imagine,  this involves much more than taking the keys from the Brixham Town Council.

What is our vision for Brixham Theatre?

We are developing the theatre in a number of ways. Namely to;

Provide a regular and varied menu of first class scheduled performance offers at the theatre with wide appeal to entertain YOU,

Support opportunities for local access to nationally and internationally acclaimed acts of artistic merit,

Encourage local individuals and groups with talent to develop their offering to the public,

Develop more opportunities for access to the theatre for local community groups,

Offering opportunities for individuals and groups who may not have accessed the theatre in the past,

Work in partnership with schools, Brixham Council, local charities and businesses to support festivals and develop new joint initiatives together,

Ensure the theatre supports artistic creativity and education in the arts, providing increased opportunities for young people and others going forward,

If you would like our theatre to be at the heart of and a real asset to the community,

there are lots of ways you can play a part;

Support us by seeing our shows, or join us by;

signing up as a member (contact Julian Fisher - email here... or call 01803 415987 for more info), or

by exploring volunteering with BTCIO - just a couple of hours on a regular basis can make a big difference and enable new friendships to be made

(contact Pauline Smith - email here... 01803 415987 for more info),

Like us on Facebook and /or Twitter…and tell your family and friends about us.

Brixham Theatre is proud to be entirely run by Volunteers

and supported by its Members.
